Lunch at Baan Khok Kong
Time to try some seasonal food! During the rainy season, the Khok Kong villagers commonly cook with bamboo shoots and Kaeng nor mai (bamboo curry) is an excellent dish to sample. The bamboo shoots can also be roasted, peeled and boiled with yanang leaves to make soup no mai (bamboo shoot soup) for eating with pla ra (fermented fish sauce). They also have false earthstar mushrooms that can be stir-fried, made into a soup or eaten with a dip and rattan is used in kaeng wai sai kai. As for the summer, the eggs of red ants are a popular ingredient in kaeng, koi or they can also be eaten raw.

Eat a traditional phaleang (dinner) with the Phu Thai of Khok Kong and enjoy performances such as ram choen khwan, soeng phu thai sam phao, ram kra po and Kalasin ram ploen by Phu Thai youth groups.
